    • Overall, I’d say Gavan because it looks crazy good. But considering that it’s bound to be fully subbed in time, I’d have to give my vote to B-Fighter Kabuto since nobody’s seem to have shown the slightest interest in it and that’s just really sad. :\ Would love to work on a Metal Hero series or two at some point though, so haven’t named those ones.

      What about you?

      • Well, I’ve got to go with Jiraiya, one reason, ninjas are really awesome! So, I’m going to sub it, after Goggle V, I’m thinking of subbing a bunch of Metal Hero Series. So I’ll add Kabuto to the To Sub list, also, when you finish JAKQ and/or Turboranger, can I recommend you subbing Fiveman or Kabutack? As I said in the past, I only have Portuguese subs to scrub from. I have found every MH series subbed accept Kabutack and Robotack.

    • Hey, you too? Shourikan and I have had our eye on Jiraiya, and I’ve been thinking about scrubbing Metalder :7 But what we work on next isn’t up to me, it’s a group decision lol. That said, I’m not even sure if Kabutack has raws.

      • Could I recommend not doing Jiraiya, I don’t like many subbing one show, and my friend and I really are working into that. I don’t want to sound rude. Though, your Guide proves Metal Hero doesn’t get much love (and care). Covering more ground is better!

    • Well that’s good and normally I’d agree with you, but if we ever did start it it’d be directly from the Japanese so… ;~; We won’t be starting another project for quite awhile though, so don’t worry.

  1. I do hope to see more Metal Heroes subbed at some point. I’ve loved just about all that I’ve seen of it so far. Then again, the amount of other 70s/80s/90s Toei stuff without subs, which used to be huge, is rapidly shrinking, so it may be that eventually more groups inevitably turn to the remainder like Metal Heroes.

(I definitely support the mentioned-above idea that when you eventually finish a current project and take on a new one–no rush obviously, keep doing what you’re doing for the moment, it’s good work–you consider one of these shows.)

    • Wouldn’t it be nice to see them all subbed? (: But yes, Metal Heroes getting more love would be greattt. It’s already happening, though! Sailor Otaku will be continuing onto Solbrain after his current project, people speculate that MillionFold Curiosity will move onto another Space Sheriff after Gavan, GUIS’ Shir has expressed interest in Spielban countless times over the years, ANDDD MegaBeast Empire’s been working on them even before it was cool (dang hipsters) and will probably continue doing so ^^

Also, thank you! We expect to be releasing something soon!

      • Indeed, the times they are a-changin’! (Sometimes I wish there’d be DDL releases for Gavan and Winspector but that’s purely a selfish thing ’cause my computer throws a hissy fit when it’s pointed anywhere near a torrent.)

        Ooh, looking forward to that.

    • Changing in a good way, that is :7 Honestly, a lot of groups won’t provide DDL because they say that maintaining them is a pain (and maybe it is if you’ve subbed a lot of content) but I personally think that it’s easier… Eh. Thankfully Shourikan is great with torrents though, so we can provide both. ^^

    • @ KudosForce

They have to (ideally) finish Liveman’s final batch, Bioman’s final batch, the Maskman V2’s, a collaboration project with The Skaro Hunting Society, possible Jetman V3’s (depending on whether the series gets blu-rays or not), the eventual final batches for Changeman and Flashman (after finishing off the initial releases of course), the shows that they expressed interest in as their final projects (AND the final batches of THOSE too) before retiring so theoretically they have plenty of time unless another unintended hiatus happens :X

Personally, I’d much rather prefer them doing Spielban than Turbo ‘just because’ but it’s up to them… It’s just that Shir seems to genuinely love the show, and it’d suck to miss out on what would probably be the best Spielban subs that we’d ever get (or at all). Again, just my opinion though :L

      • Skaro? GUIS will be lucky if they can get to finish that collab by 2030. :p No, seriously, it’s a wonder that Nanto occasionally does progress on the ever-growing list of projects he has…

Still, here’s hoping for the best.

    • @ KudosForce

Well, maybe not a collaboration project but I’m pretty sure that Nanto is helping at least. In any case, yeah, they’d have to finish that (and presumably a final batch like everything else) so GUIS probably won’t be leaving any time soon with all of that work left to do 😛 Well, it’s nice that Nanto gets to work on so many things that he loves hehe

  2. Even I want to see more Metal Heroes too, but I can wait as always. Enjoying Winspector atm too. Sailor Otaku does such an amazing job! I did watch Metalder. I’ve always wanted to see Spielban, Jiraiya and B-Fighter looks amazing. Only seen thee episodes of B-Fighter, and I love the look of the B-Fighters, and Gavan too. That theme! Shaider was interesting as well. xD, I am curious about Robotack and Kabutack. o.o

    • Am sure that the Metal Heroes’ll be fully subbed in time, it helps that there is way less of them compared to Sentai too :7 Winspector looks like a lot of fun, but have been waiting for Sailor Otaku to wrap up the subbing before getting into it. A few of us have seen Metalder… It was okay, I guess? Eh. B-Fighters has some weird American adaptation, so I’m honestly a bit surprised that it hasn’t been subbed already (or at least subbed more than four episodes). Then again, the grand total of episodes is like 100 + when you factor in both series so I guess that might partly be why? Shaider was fun, was able to watch a good chunk of it thanks to Sky. I think that we’re all curious about Robotack and Kabutack, really ‘^^ Hi No Tori has a special subbed of one of those if you want to give it a watch!

    • I’m not crazy about it, but one of our translators is/was interested in Jiraiya so maybe one day… But don’t worry, it’ll definitely be subbed eventually. Hopefully soon. (: From the selection of Metal Heroes that I’ve checked out so far, I think Metalder and Shaider were the most entertaining/interesting for me if you haven’t checked those out yet. c:

  3. I downloaded a full torrent of Metalder with English subs. Maybe it’s not the most accurate, but I was able to follow what was going on. Much better than the poor Jiraiya subs I watched a while back. I also remember complaining about Goggle V. LOL!

    • Most of Metalder’s subs are actually pretty good, the episodes that weren’t translated by DFF were from some Malaysian bootleg but they’ll get you through the show yeah. (: As for those other subs, well, there’s a reason why nobody talks about them. xD

  4. Man I’d love for Sharivan to have subs, I just got into Metal Heroes and I went crazy about them, I’m currently halfway through Gavan but seeing that Sharivan has no subs has discouraged me quite a bit, I don’t like to be jumping from series to future series skipping some of them, and Sharivan’s design is just pure sex.
Oh well, I guess I can only hope for someone to pick it up (and Shaider while we are at it) and just suck it up and jump to Juspion after finishing Gavan.

    Like

    • MFC plans to sub Sharivan next, so give them a year or so and you should be good. 😛 I haven’t heard anybody express interest in Shaider, though (though one can assume MFC plans to finish out the trilogy).

      • Yes, I’ve realized that after posting the comment, I don’t remember the last time I’ve felt so relieved!
I guess patience is a virtue, isn’t it? I’m probably still going to dig into Juspion after finishing Gavan, but knowing that Sharivan subs are actually worked on makes me really happy, It’s really nice to see that there are still translators interested on this kind of thing. And Sharivan just looks -so- cool.
I’m also not particulary thrilled about Shaider either, but as you said, it would be kind of weird having 2 Space Sheriffs subbed but not the last one.

Plus, if MFC releases the subs in small batches or episode by episode, I can watch them with some proper time between them,as if it was a new show coming out instead of just binging on them in a week!

  5. Hello! I’m from Gouram Subs, a new subbing group. I just wanted to say we are going to sub B-Fighter Kabuto! It’ll be our first real project and it will probably take some time but please look forward to it. We’re at https://gouram.blogspot.com/ which is empty as of this writing but we will publish important info etc there!
